Dish washer replacement drain hose AEM69493803 can not flatten the hoses against the machine they seem twisted did i do something wrong.
Thank you for you help
We would need to have the model number to properly assist but it appears on the diagram for this part that there is a cover that would go over the drain for the side and will keep it flush. When these drain hoses are new they are more rigid and once heated water goes through it, the drain will loosen up and form a little better to the cabinet.
I am trying to change the drain hose. When I removed the old cracked one, it did not have a vent tube attached. All the replacement parts I am finding have a vent tube.
Please advise, Bruce
That is correct. The part number for the drain hose for your unit is part number AEM69493803. This dishwasher drain hose assembly has been redesigned and includes the black rubber hose that attaches to the top of the water inlet housing on the outside of the tub.
Does the one-way check valve come with the new drain hose?
Answer Hello Roland,
The check valve MJX32862501 does not come with the drain hose. The check valve is actually inside the sump assembly.
My old drain hose does not have the rubber tube.
Answer Wayne, the drain hose assembly AEM69493803 is a manufacturer replacement listed for your model. The black rubber hose goes to the top of water inlet housing on side of dishwasher. Hope this helps. Thanks.
Where does the black hose attach to? Or do I have to plug it?
The black hose will attach to the bottom back of the tub assembly and does not get plugged as it is an air break.
Can I get the correct drain hose without the little black hose so I don't have to plug it and have it potentially leak?
Answer Hello Don! Unfortunately, the manufacturer no longer offers the drain hose without the small black hose attachement. You'll need to order drain hose part number AEM69493803 for your model LDF8812ST. Sorry about that!
