My old drain hose does not have the rubber tube.
Answer Wayne, the drain hose assembly AEM69493803 is a manufacturer replacement listed for your model. The black rubber hose goes to the top of water inlet housing on side of dishwasher. Hope this helps. Thanks.
Where does the black hose attach to? Or do I have to plug it?
The black hose will attach to the bottom back of the tub assembly and does not get plugged as it is an air break.
Can I get the correct drain hose without the little black hose so I don't have to plug it and have it potentially leak?
Answer Hello Don! Unfortunately, the manufacturer no longer offers the drain hose without the small black hose attachement. You'll need to order drain hose part number AEM69493803 for your model LDF8812ST. Sorry about that!
I just got my new hose for my model LDF7810ST dishwasher. Where does the black hose connect to? I cannot find the connection. Do I need more parts to complete this job?
Answer Wayne, On most LG dishwashers the small black(3/8") hose attached to the drain hose assembly will be routed to the left side of the tub and is attached to the " nipple" on the air guide assembly 4975DD1001A. If your unit does not have the attachment point you'll need to plug the hose fitting on the new drain hose assembly.
Where black hose is going to?
Answer Hello Dan. The black hose goes to the tab on the top of the fill chamber on the side of the unit.
