My washer will drain and spin out perfectly sometimes but other times it doesnt want to spin out, it just tumbles slowly. The screen is clean so could it be the drain pump keeping it from spinning? Why does sometimes it works but other times doesn't? It is about 3 years old used by a family of 2. What would the part number be if it is the drain pump?
You will want to access the drain pump and hoses that lead from the bottom of the tub to the drain pump and make sure that there is nothing that is clogging them. If the unit always drains but just will not go into the spin then the issue may be with the pressure switch resetting. This could be caused by a clog in the pressure hose. It is doubtful that the drain pump is faulty as the unit works sometimes but not others.
Will this pump work as a replacement for the recirculating pump as well?
Answer Hello Alex! No, part number 4681EA2001T is the drain pump motor only. The circulation pump is part number EAU61383503. Thanks.
I ran it 4 or 5 time to try to figure it out why it wouldn't do the spin cycle. We had an error: OE . Sounds like the drain pump. Now when you push the start button, the control panel won't even light up. There is power to the unit. I plan on taking it apart, is there a possible fuse burned out? Any suggestions? Thanks, phil
You will want to check the main control board EBR32268002 to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to it. If there is no power to it then you will want to check the line filter 6201EC1006T. If the line filter has power in but no power out then you will need to replace the line filter. If there is power in and out and power at the main control board then the issue would either be a faulty control or a faulty display board.
Why dose my pump works but dose not drain the water?
Answer Hello David. If there is power to the pump, and the hoses are clear, you will need to replace the pump on the unit. It is bad and will not pump out under pressure. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
