I am selling my washer and dryer. Someone had asked me what the horsepower of the washer and dryer are. Do you have any idea what the horsepower of both the washer and dryer is, or do you have any ideas as to how i can find this out? Thank you for your time.

Answer Hello Jason. Most of the time the horse power for a washer and dryer are not listed. You will need to contact the manufacture to see if you can find out on these models.

This model comes originally with the following motor part number: 4681EL1002A that I know gets replaced by 4681EL1008A. I was wondering if this motor has a capacitor that can be replaced. It hums at start, but if I push the drum, it works and finishes all the way.

Answer Hello Ricky, This is a dc motor and would not have a capacitor that would be able to be replaced. The motor would have to be replaced.

Hi, I have a LG model DLE0332W dryer. It hums when you push the start button. The drum will not turn. Do I need a new drive motor? Do you have instructions for the disassembly and reassembly? Thanks, Suzanne

Answer Hello Suzanne. Turn the drum by hand and make sure it is not stuck. If not, you will need to order and replace the motor 4681EL1008A in the unit.

Dryer drum won't spin by itself, however I can turn it by hand. Machine hums as if drive motor is stuck, after about 30 seconds you smell a burning smell. When the machine was working in the past year, you would hear a thumping noise everytime the drum would turn, almost as if you were drying a pair of sneakers. I would like to do the repair myself, I am fully capable. Can you explain to me where to start as far as disassembling the machine? Might it be something as simple as a broken belt?

I think I need a start capacitor for an LG DLE5832W but I don't see a part listing. The dryer does not move/hums when start button is pushed but if I give it a spin ,it will start and works fine for that load and subsequent loads.
