Installed replacement motor, wiring Harness is correctly connected. Motor makes no sound. No spin, or noise. Just dead. Fuses checked, thermal cutoff checks normal.
Answer Hello Brian,
If you remembered to plug the unit back in, have you checked the breaker and verified voltage to the unit? Also, did you reconnect the wiring connector to the door switch? This is common on this model to be overlooked.
My first question was about my dryer shutting of after it is in use and will not power up until it sits for while. We thought it was the motor. That did not fix it. What next?
With the dryer motor not correcting the issue you will want to check to make sure that the power cord connection to the terminal block is good and check to make sure that there is not power loss at the power supply when in use. If there is an issue with the wiring then it will need to be corrected. If this checks ok then the control board 6871EL1013C would be the issue.
