Hi my ice maker has the letters ER IF and no ice is being made, but the freezer and water portions work perfectly. I assume I need a new fan, can you give me the correct fan to purchase for this model fridge? Also, can I order it from you? Installation not too tough I guess? Thanks for your help in advanced! Mike

My LG LMX 25984 ST refreg has an ER IF or 1F. When researching it appears the icemaker fan if not working. The lower freezer and upper refreg are getting cold, just not the icemaker. I can feel air cold air coming out of the damper in the refeg when I have the unite in test mode 1, but no air coming out of the ports where the ice maker receives its cold air. I have read that it could be the fan or the control board. I have also read that it maybe the connector on the icemaker fan motor. What part would you recommend to replace first. Do I need the fan motor or the Duct Assembly part number AP4440210? Or do you recommend a different part to replace.

There is a loud squalling noise coming from the bottom freezer compartment. The noise appears to be coming from behind the removable panel. There is a small amount of ice built up on the vent panel. The refrigerator is showing no code and appears to be running fine. Can you advise on this loud irritating noise and how to eliminate it? Thanks.

The fan in the freezer is not running. The refrigerator takes days to make ice. Ordered a new fan, plugged it in, but it did not run either. Control/motherboard need replacing or is there another part to check first?

I get an FI code on my LG refrigerator display. I can hear the duct assembly motor start up and it will run for approx. 15 seconds then shuts down. After doing so about 4 times, I receive the code. According to the manuel I read online, this fan must run for 140 seconds. My question is if I replace the Duct assembly motor (Part# AP4440210) will this cure the problem, or could the problem be with a control board?
