I need to replace my ice duct fan assembly 5209JA1044A in my refrigerator LFX 25975s (now discontinued). How do I do this? Please advise.
Answer Hello Darren. Remove everything from the freezer and then remove the back wall. Once removed, you will see the motor and the screws securing it to the wall. Remove and replace the fan motor in the unit.

Rattling noise coming from the multi-flow circulating fan (behind cover and filter). Can't seem to find replacement motor/fan. Please help.
Answer Hello William,
The part number for the fan motor in the refrigerator compartment is EAU36179305. You will want to pull the rear cover off and make sure that it is not just ice that has formed around the motor causing it to make the rattling type noise.
On replacing part ap4440210, ice maker fan motor assembly, do you need to remove the whole bottom freezer and the top grill to get to the inside back panel to get to the part? Thanks for any help. A picture would help greatly.
Answer Hi Victor.1. Remove the freezer shelf. Remove the plastic guide for slides on left side by unscrewing phillips head screws. 2) Pull the grille forward and remove the grille. 3) Disconnect wire harness of the grille. 4) Remove the scroll assembly by loosening 2 screws. Replace the duct assembly 5209JA1044A. Thank You.
ref.is an lg code comes up (er if) is the problem part ab4440210
Answer Hi Ralph. Check the fan connector and see if it is fully making contact. If it is frozen, then this will cause the issue. The new fan has another connector style made into it to prevent this . Part # 5209JA1044A. At the main board, check the fan motor voltage. At conn.4 on pins 1 and 2 if the voltage is below 9v change the power control board part # EBR34917104. Check at pins 2 and 3 if it is 0 or 5 v , change the motor. Thank You.
