Hello, I have a LG Front Load that uses 4986ER0004F, I accidentally ordered a 4986ER0004B, can I use it anyway and just lose the draining functionality? Our washer is in our basement and my wife leaves the door open all the time anyways. Thanks,

Answer Fred, If your unit has a drain in the gasket then this is what you will want to have. There is too much of a chance that the unit could leak without the proper gasket.

I have a LG washer model # WM2277HB with 3 small holes on the bottom and attaches to a hose on top. The old gasket says part # 4986ER0004 no 4. Which replacement gasket should I order?

Same as other folks... looking to replace the door gasket but upgrade to one with the drain hole, etc. Which parts do I need (judging by other answers, maybe the only question I need answered is do I need the balance/counter weight?). Thanks!

Answer Jerry, The balance and counter weight does not need to be replaced when replacing the tub cover and the gasket.

I am looking at replacing my front load gasket LG Model #WM2277HW and I have identified part # AP4439002. This part appears to have two small rubber flaps on the gasket that are at 2:00 and 4:00 in the picture on the web site. My machine at home WM2277HW seems to only have one. This part seems to be compatible for my machine but I want to make sure before I order.

I am trying to order the gasket for my LG front loader and your website says to order 4986ER0004F but the question/answer from Chris below the part info advises to get the other one ending in B with no drain hose. Which is correct? I have the WM2277HS.

Answer Nicole, if your boot gasket does not have a drain hole use part number 4986ER0004B (4986ER0004B). If it has a hole use part number 4986ER0004F (4986ER0004F). Thanks!

Hi, I saw an answer and a parts list for converting a washer that has no drain hole in the door seal to one that does. I have the same problem, mildew and odor because the seal does not drain. What parts would I need to convert a LG WM2077CW to use a door seal that has a drain? Thanks!

I would like to replace the front door seal/gasket. The current gasket does not have a drain hole so water sits to get mold and odor. Is it possible to use the newer gasket with a drain hole on the model wm2075 currently without a drain hole? Seems like a much better design.......just not sure where if the water would drain back into the tub for removal by pump? Thanks.

Answer Hello Roy! Yes, you can install the newer gasket with the drain hole on your product. You will, however, have to change out and install several parts. You will need to change out the tub cover 3550ER0004B, balance weight 4866ER0004A and the gasket 4986ER0004F. You will need to install a new hose 5214FR4058Y, hose connector 4932ER4007B, and clamp 4861FR3068A for the gasket to drain back into the tub. Thanks!
