I purchased a new ice funnel (part# 3016JA2002M) for the door of my LG refrigerator (model# LSRC 26940ST), but the new funnel does not fit in the existing funnel frame in my refrigerator. Do I need a new funnel frame, or did I order the wrong funnel? What are the correct part numbers for these two parts?

I've broken 2 of these funnels. I'm ordering 2 more, but am a little stuck at this point as to what to do differently next time. And I do have the new frame. When replacing the last one, first I snapped the funnel into the frame and screwed the new frame into place. But then found that I couldn't get the control panel assembly back on around the funnel. Is there a some way to do this? So instead, I took the funnel back off, breaking one tab on the funnel in doing so, put the control panel back on, and then snapped the funnel up into the frame. It's more difficult this way, but it appears to be the only way to do it, unless I'm missing something. But I didn't get something put back together quite correctly because the dispenser stuck on when the lever was pushed, first it kept running for almost a minute, then ran water until I got the frig pulled out and unplugged. Big mess! Then I noticed the bottom of the control panel was not secured. Could this cause the dispenser to stick on? And what is the proper procedure to get the control panel re-installed correctly? I started by pushing the top of it back into place and upward, then pushed the bottom into place and tried to push the whole thing upward. Should I be pushing the whole thing into place, and then upward? I think maybe I just didn't get the panel pushed upward so that it was locked in place properly. Thanks.

first why on my L.G. do we even have retro fit parts? It is only 3 or 4 years old! Now if I have to buy two new replacement parts, how do I get out the old part that holds the new Ice funnel, so I can replace the new funnel witch seems to only snap in place. because the other part is installed in th door, and I don't seem to have any diagram to explain on how to do this task. so could you explain it or send directions on how to do this task ahead of meplease? thank you David.

I read above Q&A. I realized that I need to remove the front panel in order to replace the Ice Funel and a new Funnel Frame. I need to replace a Cap assembly, duct as well. I never tried to disassemble front panel because I don't understand other parts connected to dispenser unit. I try to understand better before I order parts and open this unit. Is there any assembly picture for dispenser unit that I can understand better? I would your help.

I ordered a ice dispensing funnel for my LG Refrig. MD#LRSC26925TT, S# 510KRWZ01977. The dimensions are correct but the ears that snap the funnel into place are sticking out. On my funnel the ears are inline with the funnel and snaps in. The picture that you show on your PN AP4436707 is what you shipped. It is not the part that I need. I talked to your person on chat and she assured me that it was the correct part. It is not. She referred me to another web site for repair information. I was not able to connect with them. All I need the correct part please.
