Once the fuse is replaced, the microwave oven works fine for a while and then the fuse blows again. If I replace it again, it works fine again for a short period and blows the fuse again.
Answer Hello Ed,
This is normally caused by a bad door switch. If one door switch is bad, the others will fail soon so it is normally recommended to replace all three at the same time. This unit uses two (AP4437957) and one (AP4629337).
The microwave turns on when I shut the door, no heat, timer does not run....What part would I need to replace?
Answer Hello Julie. Based on the information you provided, one of the door switches is bad and will need to be replaced.
All the functions of the Micro Wave work except it does not heat the food. The toaster works. Thanks.
Answer Hello Randy,
The things that you would want to check would be the High voltage side of the microwave. Check continuity on the magnetron thermal fuse and the diode. If either are open then replace. Check the magnetron for resistance. .50 ohms would indicate a good reading and check to make sure magnetic is not broken. If broken or magnetron reads open then replace magnetron. Check to make sure that capacitor and transformer are good.
Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
Microwave turns on but does not warm. Also the range lights and exhaust fan won't turn on. The control panel displays functions of working but, nope. I got an error code of F-9.
Answer Hello Paul! We have a service manual available with insturctions to help verify which part will need to be replaced. If you will reply back to us with your e-mail address in the question body (we will not post this) I will be glad to send you this information. Thanks!
