On this LG model washer do I use the 4681EA1007G pump? From what I've read if my washer won't drain, the pump is bad. The other issue I have is it will not spin; but I am wondering if that has to do with the water level in the tub preventing it from going ino spin mode?
Also, I notice you have the video for the Kenmore, but how do I get to the pump on the LG?
Yes the correct pump for your unit would be part number 4681EA1007G. You will want to make sure that the drain pump is not clogged or have obstructions in it and also check to make sure that there is power to the drain pump when the unit is calling for the pump to come on. If there is power and the pump is clear then the pump would need to be replaced. The unit will not spin properly if it is not draining the water out.
Washer drains till tub is empty. The pump continues to run for 5-10 minutes then gives "OE" error. I've cleaned all hoses and taken apart pump and cleaned. Is there a switch or something that tells the pump to shut off once water is gone?
Answer Hello BK,
The drain pump 4681EA1007G has to have the impeller separated from the pump motor. I'm confident that if you change the drain pump, the issue will be eliminated, (as long as there are in fact no restrictions in the drain line either between the tub and the pump and between the pump and the stand pipe).
I was sent a motor assemble AC pump, but it does not fit in the casing that the old part came out of. It seems to be 1/2 - 3/4" too thick to fit in the case. Any suggestions?
Answer Brian, we will need to verify that the correct part was ordered and received. In order to verify if this is the correct part used on your appliance we will need your model number. Please obtain this information for further assistance. Thanks!
at first, after turning on, it ran for a couple of minutes before the trouble code "OE" was displayed. i took the hoses and filter housing out, cleaned them out, and put them back in. now, it turns a couple of times and stiff displays that code. plus, there is a loud humming sound coming from the filter housing. any help?
Answer Joe, The "OE" code for your washer, indicates a Drain Issue. You may have an article jammed in the pump, or restricting the drain system or possibly a bad drain motor winding, 4681EA1007G is a great place to start with the post description you supplied. Good Luck and Thanks
Washer will not drain on spin cycle. Motor works, filter and drain line is clear. Will part k340 fix?
Answer Hello Bill. If there is power to the drain pump motor 4681EA1007G and the motor does not run, you will need to replace the drain pump motor assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
