My water will not dispense, my ice will not dispense, and my light will not come on. However, my ice maker continues to make ice.
Answer Hello Rob,
You would want to double check to make sure that the dispenser is not in control lock out. If the child lock or lock button is on it will not work. If it is not in child lock then you would need to replace the dispenser control 3211JA1045Z.
The refrigerator is runing but won't get cold. I replaced the pcb assembly. Still nothing. The air flow is okay and the compresser is running. There is no ice build-up but the freezer will only reach 60°F. What else can I check?
Answer Hello Edd,
Sounds like you either have a sealed system restriction, a sealed system leak, or an inefficient compressor. In any of the listed situations, you will have to have a freon certified technician perform the repair as per federal laws concerning the proper handling of freon.
Where is the control board located? I took off the back panel but can't find it.
Answer Hello Carl. Usually the control board is either on the back of the unit or on the top of the unit. You can trace the power cord and it should lead to the control board 6871JB1410N on the unit. Hope this helps.
Having issues with my refrigerator. My water will not dispense, my icemaker does not make ice and it will not dispense the ice thats still in the bucket. You normally will hear the motor when trying to dispense ice but you dont hear that anymore, that like 3 things that happen all at once. Could the board be at issue?
Answer Hi Phillip. You Might have 2- seperate issues. First of all , has it been 6-mos or more that you have replaced the water filter? This will primarily cause the issues you have. This part # is 5231JA2002A. Take the ice- bin out. Clean the ice frozen chips from under the auger with warm sink water. Clear out the cutter blades, and make sure that the unit works freely. Then either let the sun dry it completly out side or wipe it very dry. Reinstall the bin so the auger motor fits male to female so the bin will not keep the door open. The ice Tray is part # 3390JA1150A. This will bind with the water mineral build up and stop ejection of the cubes. Hope this helps. Thank you.
After looking at the main PCB on my refrigerator, it looks like a plug up and run part. Is this how the part works?
Answer Hello Bruce. Yes, to replace this part you simply unplug the old board and plug up the new one. Hope this helps.
