Power and Start/Pause Buttons are not making contact without trying several times or pressing a different edge of the buttons. Seems the electrical contacts need to be replaced. Doesn't appear I can just replace the buttons? For the washer, do I need AP4457379 (F110) or AP4441221 (F210)? For the dryer, do I need AP4441099 (A120) or AP4437739 (A110)? Can the buttons be replaced individually?

After you power up the dryer, three lights on the selection switch [the one with permanent press, normal, delicates] on it blink and wont start. If you press the start button, it makes a clunk like it's trying to start, if you hold the start button, it will start until you let go. Any ideas?

My dryer will not heat. The "drying" light blinks while its on regardless of the setting and the cooling light stays on the whole time. I had a repairman out and he changed the heat sensor. It worked for about 6 loads, then quit heating again. The second repairman said it was the other sensor and changed it out, but also said that the venting system through the house was too long and had too many bends in it. He recommended that we vent it straight into the garage before using it again. We did that and it worked for about 3 loads, then stopped heating again. The lights continue to stay as previously described both times it was "fixed" and heating. The power button also doesn't always turn it on. It some times takes a few pushes to get it to come on. Any ideas? I am really tired of paying $100 service call fees to have someone not fix my dryer!

Ok, I have changed both circuit boards and tested the high limit switch on the dryer. What else could be causing it to not come on at all? Press on button and no lights, sounds, or anything. Interior light does not come on when door is open. 125 volts is getting to smaller terminal board ?

I checked for continuity on the high limit switch with a digital multimeter and it zeroed out, does that mean the switch is bad?

I ordered parts 6871EC1115A and 6871EC1121A for my dryer because it would not turn on when the power button was pressed. I replaced both parts and it still will not turn on. Is there anything else that could be keeping the dryer from turning on? I have checked power from the outlet and power from the cord to the junction box in the back of the dryer. Had a service technician come out and he said that both parts were bad.

We are having an intermittent problem with the start button on the dryer. It sometimes takes several attempts at pushing it before it works. We were told it could be a logic/circuit board issue. Could part number LG 6871EC1115A PWB(pcb)be a possible remedy to the problem?
