The compressor on my LG model LD50EBL dehumidifier runs but the fan will not turn on. Any suggestions?
You will want to test to make sure that there is power going to the fan motor. If there is then the fan motor is faulty and would need to be replaced. If not then the control board is faulty.
This dehumidifier condenser doesn't start. Could this be the sensor? Thanks
Answer Hello Tony. You need to check and see if there is power to the control board on the unit. If so, and the board does not turn on the unit, you will need to replace the board. If the sensor is bad, it could prevent it from working, but usually the problem leads to the board. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Hi, My Zenith dehumidifier not turn on at all. Even signal light is off. I am not sure if it is the humidity sensor broken. How can I test if the sensor is good or bad? Any suggestion is welcome.
Answer Hello Mark,
The manufacturer has no publications available on these units. You have to use the wiring diagram on the unit to determine the issue. The full switch should be the first thing checked. If it is operating normally, the board should be checked for burned spots. A few of these I have seen were repaired by replacing the sensors but most issues I have seen are caused by the control board.
