Hi, My Zenith dehumidifier not turn on at all. Even signal light is off. I am not sure if it is the humidity sensor broken. How can I test if the sensor is good or bad? Any suggestion is welcome.
Answer Hello Mark,
The manufacturer has no publications available on these units. You have to use the wiring diagram on the unit to determine the issue. The full switch should be the first thing checked. If it is operating normally, the board should be checked for burned spots. A few of these I have seen were repaired by replacing the sensors but most issues I have seen are caused by the control board.
I get error code AS. The manual says a sensor is bad. What sensor and how do I fix it?
The AS error would be the room sensor. This unit is not showing any parts being available to replace.
Our dehumidifier does not work well now (bought in June 2010). It maybe still work occasionally. Not quite sure. But it is not the problem with power. Could we try this sensor first? Thanks,
Yes, you could try the sensor first to see if corrects what issue you are having. We are unable to verify for sure what would be the issue as you did not state what the unit is doing currently.
With the humidity setting at 70%, the unit runs constantly. Would this be the humidity sensor?
Answer Hello Wally,
This could be the sensor or the control board but you should make sure the humidity isn't high enough to keep the unit running on 70% setting.
