My electric range is showing an oven error of F-1. We have cut the electricity a few times and the code keeps returning. Nothing on the key pad works. My husband replaced part number 6871W1N010A and it still isn't working. What other parts do we need to replace?
You will want to disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected. Gain access to the control board. Disconnect the touch pad ribbon from the Electronic relay control (ERC). Make sure that there are no loose wires or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Turn power back on. Wait at least 1 hour to see if the error code comes back. If the F1 comes back then replace the ERC 6871W1N009A and if not then replace the touch pad.
I have a range - LG=LRE30451SW and in the morning (without using the range) the F1 code was on.I turned it off and 10 minn it was back on.So I pulled the circutbraker. If I replase the tuch-pad will it solve the problem ? Thank you.
Answer Hello Bert,
Replacing the touch pad will not correct your issue. The F1 error code indicates a oven sensor open. What you can do is open the back panel of unit and check the resistance value of the oven sensor at room temp. Resistance should be 1090 ohms plus or minus 50. If this checks ok then you will want to check the continuity of the sensor wire from the control to the sensor. If no continuity on wiring then it would need to be replace. If the sensor does not ohm out properly replace sensor 6322B62214A. If both these check out ok then you would need to replace the Clock assembly EBR74632601. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
My range = LG - LRE30451SW shoed a code F1 over night. Do I change the the touch-pad to fix this problem??
Answer Hello Bert,
The F1 error code indicates an open oven sensor. You would want to check resistance on the oven sensor 6322B62214A and should have 1090 ohms. If this checks ok then check your wiring from sensor to the control board for damage. If this checks ok then you would want to replace the PCB EBR74632601.
The on/off temp. select for the front left burner is unresponsive. Do I need to replace the whole panel?
Answer Hello Dan. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the control memebrane 383EW1N006E will need to be replaced on the unit.
Is there a plug-in similar to a phone jack or ups plug currently attached to the back of the original that is simply unplugged from that and is plugged into the new one to make it operational? Thank you.
Answer Robert, there is a ribbon cable on the back of the touch pad 383EW1N006E. If this part is unplugged or shorted out it will cause the unit to not respond to any commands given (when buttons are pressed it won't do anything). The ribbon cable is not available separate from the touch panel, if the cable is defective you will need to replace the entire touch panel. Thanks!
Do you ship parts to canada?
Answer Hello Rheal. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship outside of the US at this time. We will need a US physical address to ship parts to. Thanks.
