Start button will not work.
Answer Hello Preston. Test all the thermal cut outs on the unit. If all are good, you will need to check and see if the touch pad 383EW1N006H is bad and needs to be replaced on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
On the control panel where you would turn the burned on and off 2 of the control buttons on the right side of the over panel are not working.
Based on information provided it sounds like the control panel touch pad is bad and would need to be replaced. You will want to check the ribbon harness connections to make sure that there is no corrosion and make sure that they have good connections.
My touch panel in almost all functions is intermittent. Today all of the burners work and the oven does not work. It seems that all functions are randomly intermittent. My guess is the touch panel is bad. What do you think? JP
Answer Hello John. Discontinue power at the breaker for 10 minutes and see if it resets to factory default. If it doesn't, it's probably in the board. If it does, you're ready to bake! Hope this solves your problem and have a great day!
Having problems with burners when turned on. Wont go higher than low unless I push many times and latley the double burner center quit working. Would this be a result of the keypad or another control board and is the keypad sevicable to clean?
Answer Hi Dennis. You can use only soap and water to wipe clean. Use NO-Ammonia based products. I would consider changing The control board part # 6871W1N011A, as long as you can select a command normally. The relays on the control board control the burners. If the keypad does not respond this part # is 383EW1N006H. Thank You. Thank You.
