I need a new pump for my dishwasher. I "cheated" the switch and watched the spray arms through a plastic sheet I put up. There is almost no water pressure, not even enough to turn any of the three spray arms. I cleaned the places food could accumulate.
Question: The website shows a pump assembly ($154) and a sump assembly ($180) what is the difference and which part do I need?

Answer Hi Fred. The difference depends on your serial #. If the date code on the bottom of your motor is before 15 march 2007, then you need the updated motor. The sump /motor assy. that is part # AJH31248604, does not use a thermistor/turbidity sensor. The motor /sump assy. that has the turbidity sensor has a 3 pin yellow connector built out of the bottom. Part # 3485ED1002B. It depends if your wiring harness has the yellow wire connector for the built in sensor. Thank You.
