There are a couple things going on with my dishwasher. First, the top rack of dishes only cleans some items. Many times there is residue left on the dishes. I rinsed all of the arms (twice) and cleaned out gunk that was in the sump assembly area. The problem continued. One repair person mentioned that our water might not be hot enough. We always run it for a few minutes until it is hot before starting the cycle. The other thing is that the washer makes a rather loud grinding noise during the cycle. It seems to come on roughly 5 minutes after it has started and continues until the end of the cycle. I am wondering if this suggests a new sump assembly is needed and if you believe that would solve both problems.

Hello, I keep getting an error code "LE" and it doesn't seem to be draining. My research shows I might need a Sump Assy. Does this sound right ? And if so which part number would I need for this model dishwasher? Would the Sump Assy come as a total unit with all gaskets, etc. for re-assembly? Thanks.

I have a direct drive LG dishwasher. It is displaying an LE error code. The first time it happened, I dislodged a chicken bone from the food grinder blades. Happened again. Time to replace the whole assembly. Can you tell me what I will need?

Fills but won't drain, gives error code?? I removed all the parts necessary inside the tub to get down to the impeller. I cannot turn it by hand at all. Does that indicate a bad motor? Also in looking at parts what all parts are included in the sump assembly? Thanks

Hi My dishwasher started reporting error OE (drainage problem) and some research revealed that replacing the sump assembly is somewhat of a catchall solution. I replaced the sump assembly and ran the dishwasher to test the fix. It still does exactly what it did before replacing the parts. The first cycle runs but the error presents when moving on to the next. The drainage hose is clear (I can blow through it to force water into the garbage disposal) so I'm not sure what to check next. Any ideas?

The lower spray arm will no longer rotate during the wash cycle resulting in unwshed dishes. It will turn freely but must not be getting water flow to rotate during wash cycle. The upper arms are rotating. I have already replaced the gaskets. What should I do?

HI, followed the traffic here but don't think I saw my specific problem and want to make sure I get the right parts I need. My DW is serial no. 611KWCF01131. I looked for a date on the motor but all I could find was 061016 not sure if there's a date embedded in that somewhere. My problem is that the DW will wash but will not pump out the water. Tried twice with the same results. I don't know if I need an entire sump assembly or just one part. Please advise what I need to get this working again, with parts nos. and gasket, if required. Thanks, Gary McMullin

Hello, Checking which sump assembly I need to purchase on the ser # 503kw00327. It's going to be a chore to get it out of the cabinets just to flip it over. I've disassabled the machine from the inside and the motor was stuck and after putting a wrench on it, she turns stiffly. I guess the safe play is to buy the whole assembly vice just the motor. Thanks, Bob
