2 of the magnets in the rotor assembly are broken, can you replace just the broken magnets? On this model it looks like the bearings are sealed so I need to replace the outer tub with the bearings, am I correct?
Answer Kelli, I've found model WM2277HW. The magnets are not available separate from the rotor part number 4413EA1002B. You can purchase the bearings separate from the tub assembly, part numbers 4280FR4048L and 4280FR4048E. If you would prefer to replace the tub assembly use part number AJQ35154201. Thanks!
Does the rear tub assembly come with a new tub seal? (Not the bearing seal, the tub seal)
Answer Hello Sparrow. The manufacturer does not say that the new outer tub comes with a new tub seal 4036ER4001B.
I need to replace the outer tub assembly, but I noticed one part site stating that I will also need to replace the stator and rotor because the new part does not have a heat shield??
Answer Hello! The replacement outer tub is part number AJQ35154201. It does not use a heat shield however, you do not need a new rotor and stator. You can transfer both and attached directly to the back of the new tub. Thanks!
On spin cycle the washer is getting very loud. Would this be failing bearings? And do I really need to replace the entire rear assembly?
Answer Hello Dave, It does sound like the bearings. You can order part numbers 4280FR4048L, 4280FR4048E, and 4036ER2004A and replace the bearings. However, it is a lot hard to do the repair, but is cheaper.
Does the outer tub assembly include front and rear shell? Seems only rear is pictured.
Answer Hello James,
The outer tub assembly AJQ35154201 is only the rear half of the tub. This is determined by the manufacturer since they manufacture and package their repair parts.
