I need to replace the hose going to the filter how do I access the end of the hose to replace it. Thanks
To replace the hose you will need to first pull the unit out and turn off the water supply. Remove the compressor cover and on the right side there will be the water valve. There is a clip on the water valve where the hose connection is that needs to be removed. Once removed push in on the ring around the tubing and pull out on the tubing. Release the tubing from the clips up the back of the unit and remove the cover where it goes through the cabinet. Go to the front of the unit and open the refrigerator door and remove the screw holding the filter head in place. Pull forward on the filter head and remove the tubing the same way you did on the water valve. Install new tubing in reverse.
Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
Why would this water/ice line become so brittle and crack with no stress after 3 or 4 years of use? I need a complete discription of the part please, with ID, OD and length. Do I need to connections for end or can I reuse old. Thank You.
Answer Todd, the only information that we have on the tube is that it is a 1/4" plastic tubing. We do not have the length information available, I do apologize. This tube is used on your model LSC27950ST and you should be able to use the old connections. Thanks!
