Replacement start relay is different from original round type...understand that terminal 2 is labeled for N or neutral....original has black or ground soldered...am I supposed to de solder from old relay and solder to terminal 1 in order to use the part?
There should be a wire that would connect to the overload using a spade terminal. The original overload would be the round disc that has a wire soldered to it. The relay would then have a connector that goes to the number 2 terminal which is all that would need to be connected to it.
My refrigerator cools perfectly .the only problem is a very loud huming vibrating sound comes from it when the compresor is running. could it be from the Ptc starter?
The PTC starter would not cause a loud humming vibrating sound. It sounds more like it may be a copper line vibrating against the cabinet or against another line. Check the lines and the condenser coil to make sure that the vibration is not coming from them. This is the most likely scenario.
