Need to change out power cord, 3 to 4 prong. Red, Black, White and Green. Only three positions available to connect, so, where do they connect? Plus, there is a chasis ground, which I'm thinking that's where the green goes, right?
The green does go to the chassis ground. There would be a grounding strap that goes to the center terminal that you will remove off the terminal. The white wire will go to the center, black to left and red to right side terminal.

I need to go from a 4 prong plug to a 3 prong plug. What wire do I leave out?
Answer Hello Ron,
Where the 4 prong had the green going to chassis ground, the three prong hasn't got that. White goes to the center terminal and black goes to either side and red goes to either side. The black and red can be crossed with no effects. They are L1 and L2 and the appliance won't know if they are crossed. It will work normally either way as long as the white goes in the middle.
How do I go from 4 prong to a 3 prong?
Answer Hello Ron. Remove the 4 prong from the unit and then take the two outside wires and place on the two outside screws and place the center wire on the center screw on the terminal block.
How do I go from 3 prong to 4prong cord?
Answer Hello Danny. Remove the 3 prong and hook the black and red wires of the 4 prong to the two outside screws on the terminal block. Then install the white wire in the center and the green wire goes to the green ground screw on the unit.
