Drain Pump Part # DC97-18150B is NLA for this unit will Part # DC31-00178A Sub for this Part? Thanks.
Answer Hello Randy! Yes, part number DC31-00178A is compatible with your model. This is the drain pump motor assembly. Thanks.
I too am getting the nd error. The Drain hose is not twisted or clogged as I can siphon out the water the old fashioned way. The motor does spin and it's noticeable. Not sure but looking at the motor it spins clockwise (I can't find any reference to what direction it should spin). I'm able to wash clothes by draining via the emergency tube but it's very time consuming. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Answer Hello Steve,
You should first drain the unit and access the drain pump. The plastic tube that goes to the drain pump is common to catch a quarter from a pants pocket. The quarter fits in perfectly, so much that it sometimes takes a couple of pieces of metal coat hanger to get them out. Push the coin around with one and form a hook in the other end to reach in and pull the quarter out with. If this is not the issue, look for a build-up of lint and other debris in the drain between the outer tub assembly and the drain pump. If nothing is found, replace the drain pump DC31-00054A.
How do you do a drain pump test on a Samsung vrt toploader?
Answer Hello Jim. Check the drain pump
(Resistance : 13.5 ~ 16.5 ?) If there is power there, and it does not run, replace the motor. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
Looking for a male end connector for a Samsung Drain Pump.
You see, orig.I though, it was the Drain Pump, but I know what a good drain pumpshould fill kic. And, that one did have very good compression while just turning the fan, by hand. So, I plugged it in and took a voltage reader, testing the male side while plug in. Nothing! The whole time! "Yes!" Must have shorted out from very beginning. Well it's Samsung's complete lack of craftsmanship. Due, to the fact a LaidLaw bus customer. To think, that nothing could possibly happen to the electrical wiring by anchoring it to the floor of the machine. Then with all of their great wisdomness, persue to set the drain pump above the floor. As thow, that was not enough added degrees of measurements, they add a very short hose from the drain pump to the tank just off canter, with the big old barrel end hovering over the drain pump electrical system. Oh! Ok! "No, No, No!" Now, that I have about this a little more, it must increadbly advance technology, that gives them the ability to literally to a whole dallor out of one cent, one penny. After the poor smuck, gave in and bout the washer for over 2500.00 dallors. "Yah!" That'll be a No / Go at this station- Bolow! P.S. Very long week, sorry. Tony V.
Answer Hello Tony,
If you are referring to a male electrical connection, you can order crimp on connector part number TJMA02526-1 for a 20 pack of male 1/4 inch, crimp on connectors. If you actually need the female connectors, you can order TJMA02589-1 for a 15 pack of the female 1/4 inch crimp on connectors.
