I seem to be having the no drain problem which points to the drain pump. I have had intermittent ND error messages prior to this without clogs so I'm wondering if it's actually the control board. How do I test the pump? Put it on spin and check the ohms at the pump or the board? If it is correct and I need the board, do you have the part in stock? Thank you.

Answer Hello Brett. Put on the spin cycle and look for voltage to the pump. If it is there, and the pump does not run, replace the pump on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. the washer does not drain, On the drain cycle the pumps is not operating. There is a low hum (which I think is the motor) It does not drain water and there is not a load noise. It is quiet. Does the pump need to be replaced?

Answer Greg, You will want to check to make sure that there is nothing clogged in the pump keeping the impeller from turning. If this checks ok then the drain pump DC31-00054A , as long as it is getting proper power, would need to be replaced.

The samsung washer (Model number is WF419AAW) shows ND, I disassemble the drain pump from the washer. How can I test whether this pump work? what is the correct resistance for the pump?

Answer John, To check the drain pump on the unit you can test with the unit in place, check on the control board Connector CN2 pin 3 (Brown) and CN3 Pin 3 (Violet). Test 1 there should be 120 vac with the pump on and 0 Vac with the pump off. Test 2 with power off, the resistance should be 13.9Ohms.

I am getting an ND error. I have checked to ensure the the drain has been cleared. I pulled the pump inlet and outlet hoses, and cleaned them to make sure there was no debris. It feels like the impeller blades are in good shape, but the pump does make a loud noise and not pumping a lot of water...I have to restart on rinse and spin nearly every load. I believe I need a new pump, but unable to locate the correct p/n. Please help.

Answer Hello Steve, It sounds like the pump impeller has probably separated from the pump motor shaft. This makes the pump unusually loud and prevents a full drain out of the water. The correct drain pump for your model is DC31-00054A.

My machine is not draining correctly, clothes wet after spin & water left in basket. Thought there might be a blockage in pump, so we removed it & it is clear. Not sure if pump needs to be replaced. How can I test it ? Another site showed that they tested the Ohms and it read .15. We tested the meter to the pump and are getting continuity , is this correct? It reads 13.7 ohms. Is the pump good or not ?

Water won't drain in normal washer cycle, Move to a quick washer cycle and will drain if you have a lite load?

When in drain mode , drain pump is very noisy and actually vibrates the whole machine. Is this normal and they are just loud or would a new pump solve the problem. I opened the back and put my hand on pump and it does vibrate.

Answer Steve, Normally vibrations in the drain pump are caused by the impeller shaft being wobbly. You would want to replace the pump assembly.

I have replaced the drain pump and made sure there are no clogs, however, the drain error is still coming up. The pump engages, and starts pumping and a short time later the pump kicks on and off multiple times almost sounding like an electrical short and then stops functioning entirely.
