The washer displayed the 'nd' symbol. From other posts I took a chance and bought a new drain pump. replaced the drain pump and set the cycle to spin only. The water drained but would only spin a few times and never complete the cycle. I tried doing a normal wash and now the washer won't even do that. What should I do?

I too am getting the nd error. The Drain hose is not twisted or clogged as I can siphon out the water the old fashioned way. The motor does spin and it's noticeable. Not sure but looking at the motor it spins clockwise (I can't find any reference to what direction it should spin). I'm able to wash clothes by draining via the emergency tube but it's very time consuming. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a drain issue on this washer. I have pulled off all of the hoses from the pump and did have an obstruction in the drain line which I cleared. After assembling everything back together i tried the machine and it still will not drain. I feel maybe the pump has burned up as it does not run. In trying to get the pump out I need to know how to "unplug" the pump ? Do I need a special tool ? or do I need to push something that I am not currently doing ?

Samsung WA400PJHDWR getting "nd" code. Manufacture date 10/2012. Pump resistance 14.8 ohm. Pump does not run during Quick Test. I get 120 VAC at pump (wires disconnected from pump) during Quick Test, but I am getting 104 VAC at pump at all times that machine is powered up. Also, there is a crack in the pump mounting bracket (looks like part 3-7 on your diagram but called out as AP4335044 "cover-ins pipe connec"). So - A: is the 104 VAC at unloaded pump connection normal when pump is not running, and B: is the mounting bracket available for 10/2012 mfr date or do I need the pre-9/2012 upgrade (your part AP5803862) to mount the motor on the frame? Thank you.

Getting the ND error code. I checked the hoses and the pump for obstructions but found none. When the pump kicks on (both during a regular cycle and via test mode) it sounds unusually loud to me. I thought this indicated an obstruction in the pump but again found nothing. Does the loud noise indicate the pump assembly has gone bad and needs replacement?

Got "ND" code, washer was still half full of water. Put unit into test modes and manually activated pump, got all water out of machine doing this. However, was hearing a noise that sounded like marbles in the impeller. Took the pump out of the unit and inspected the suction and discharge lines, both were clear. Did find a penny in the pump that fell right out. Re-connected pump and cycled manually once again, pump sounded fine. Put unit back together and tried a load. Cycle again failed halfway thru with "ND" error code. Once again put into test mode and cycled pump. Water was indeed discharging into floor drain. Put into input board mode and checked water level sensor. Display showed a reading of 25.16 Any thoughts?

Hi, my Samsung washing machine has gotten to where it will only drain on certain settings. If I tell it to drain then it does fine, if I let it run through normal wash cycles, it may or may not drain. Also it is not rinsing properly anymore. I was thinking about replacing the drain pump but the more I read the more I am convinced its not the pump. Also the timer on the display changes numbers seemingly at random. For example it will read 8, then maybe 14, then go to 2 then 1. Is this normal?

Looking for a male end connector for a Samsung Drain Pump. You see, orig.I though, it was the Drain Pump, but I know what a good drain pumpshould fill kic. And, that one did have very good compression while just turning the fan, by hand. So, I plugged it in and took a voltage reader, testing the male side while plug in. Nothing! The whole time! "Yes!" Must have shorted out from very beginning. Well it's Samsung's complete lack of craftsmanship. Due, to the fact a LaidLaw bus customer. To think, that nothing could possibly happen to the electrical wiring by anchoring it to the floor of the machine. Then with all of their great wisdomness, persue to set the drain pump above the floor. As thow, that was not enough added degrees of measurements, they add a very short hose from the drain pump to the tank just off canter, with the big old barrel end hovering over the drain pump electrical system. Oh! Ok! "No, No, No!" Now, that I have about this a little more, it must increadbly advance technology, that gives them the ability to literally to a whole dallor out of one cent, one penny. After the poor smuck, gave in and bout the washer for over 2500.00 dallors. "Yah!" That'll be a No / Go at this station- Bolow! P.S. Very long week, sorry. Tony V. fanetly
