Frost and ice build up in the freezer. Ice melted in the ice bin. upper portion warm and lower portion bin cold. Removed the panel. cleaned most of the ice. kept the equipment unplugged for two days till all the ice melted and the evaporator coils fully dry and cleaned. Restarted and it worked normal for about 10 days. The problem reappeared. The inside left panel on the refrigerator side was found warm. Appreciate advise.

Both old and newly bought defrost heater (Da47-00094C) had 4.39 KOhms readings. These readings seems to conflict to earlier answers. Any ideas why?

Fridge is a Samsung RS2555SL Side by Side. Fridge evaporator coils freeze up so I have narrowed to a defrost cycle issue. I replaced the defrost sensor and that did not fix the problem. Based on research, it looks like it can only be one of 2 remaining failures. The heater (MFG Part Number: DA47-00094C) or the main board. When I power off/on the fridge, the front display shows a 3 before returning to ready state. I know this signifies a defrost problem but does it indicate a particular part failure? The main board is the more expensive part so I tested the heater with a multimeter and it registered 468 ohms. I also did a continuity test and it showed no continuity. Do either of these tests point to a faulty heater? Idea's? Thanks for your help.

Had a problem, it started 2 weeks ago. Fridger temp wasn't stay @ the ideal temp. as 36 it went up to 58 it didn't come down. - Freezer's just working fine! I plugged out for a day and plugged back, it went back to working @temp 36. A few days ago, exactly same problem happened again and this time seemed moter never stop, being noisey. So last night I plugged power out, now it's working again. I think it works as temporary, problem would be back. So can you help for solving this kind of problem?! Thanks.

My freezer working fine, fridge not cooling. Same problem I had 2 weeks ago, I tried to repair 2 weeks ago, I couldn't remove back panel for fridge side, it's frozen, so I had to disconnect the power cord & thaw it for a day. I checked fan motor inside the fridge, fan motor was working fine. I having same problem today. There is coil inside fridge side(I believe that is for ice maker or filtered water. Is it defrost heater at freezer side or ????
