Ice maker was not producing ice. The ice tray would fill up, not empty the tray, then the water would overflow when it refilled emptying into the ice bucket. The ice bucket would be filled with solid ice no cubes. We ordered a replacement part (da97-00258e) but it did not fix the problem. The ice tray would not dump and cracked.

Hello- I was able to get the part installed and it is making ice and dumping ice but very slowly. The ice is frozen in the ice compartment and does not dump very often. Is there a way to speed up the dumping ice process? The problem was that ice would be made but not dumped into the bucket. The ice bucket/ spinner and water line work fine. Warm regards, Courtney Cunningham

When I pulled out the bottom drawer I noticed that the ice maker had fallen down. I was able to reattach it and I wanted to know how far does the tray angle to drop the ice. I pushed the test button, the tray went to 90 degrees, arm dropped, tray returned and filled with water. Is this the proper sequence?

My fridge and freezer work great however, it won't drop ice. It freezes in the tray but i have to manually turn tray with the black square button. It rotates like it wants to drop the ice, resets, refills, but no cubes come out. I had to shut water of because water is freezing onto shelves and wall sides. When we put it in the house it fell on freezer side door could it be a possible loose wire to that component ? My husband is an electrician, should we check this first or do you think we just need to replace it? I don't want to spend extra money on a new ice-maker if it just maybe a loose wire. Any suggestions?

I just replaced a Samsung ice maker DA97-00258J Samsung Refrigerator Ice Maker Assembly. Unit makes ice but when it cycles the dump only the front ice cubes are ejected from the tray. It returns to the upright position and then fills the tray with water causing 1/2 of the volume of water to flood out. Why is 1/2 of the ice sticking to the tray? Thank you
