Ice maker was not producing ice. The ice tray would fill up, not empty the tray, then the water would overflow when it refilled emptying into the ice bucket. The ice bucket would be filled with solid ice no cubes. We ordered a replacement part (da97-00258e) but it did not fix the problem. The ice tray would not dump and cracked.
You will want to check the internal temperature of the freezer compartment to ensure that the temperature setting is -2 and that it is showing as a -2 in the unit. If the freezer temperature is getting too cold it will cause this issue. If the temperature is set for -2 but is getting colder than a -5 then the issue may be a sensor that has failed.
I have a Samsung Refrigerator two doors and it makes a loud sound when dispense water like a jackhammer I already change the filter do you know what could it be I was searching online and some say that it could be The water filter housing but I don't know.
The first thing to check would be to make sure that the water filter is turned in all the way in. If it is then the issue would be the water filter housing that would cause the hammering noise. The ports on it for the filter are not allowing water to flow properly.
What ice maker model do I need for my refrigerator? Other info for my fridge are Model Code RS27FGRS1/XAP and S/N 951243CY400026 V. Thanks.
Answer Hello Pab! Model RS27FGRS is showing to be an international model. Unfortunately, we do not have a parts lists available to verify the correct replacement icemaker. Sorry about that!
I am replacing the ice tray. does the sensor wire go between the two dishes in the ice tray and then under the hook on the right side of the tray?
The sensor will just come from under the icemaker and connect to the bottom front of the ice tray. There should be 2 little knobs that hold a plastic piece that holds the sensor.
