Where is the reset button ?Can put one in myself easy?
On the icemaker motor at the bottom there is a small square button that you push which is the reset for the icemaker. If the icemaker does need to be replaced then it is held in by 2 screws in the front. Remove the 2 screws and pull down and out. Disconnect the harness and install the new icemaker assembly.
The sensor on the left, where does it belong on the ice maker? Itcame loose and I cannot find an obvious place to put it. I cannot find any convincing assembly pictures on the internet, either.
The sensor would go on the bottom of the icemaker tray between the 1st and second cube stations. There should be a foam piece that the sensor sits in that has a plastic casing around it. The plastic casing is what holds the assembly to the icemaker.
Please send installations
To replace the icemaker, in the front part of the icemaker there are 2 screws to take the entire assembly out of the freezer. Once out you will have to release the motor assembly and drop motor assembly down. Once out install new.
My ice maker tray does not turn to empty. Can you help?
Answer Hello Richard. If there is power to the icemaker motor, and it does not turn, you will need to replace the icemaker. You can press the button on the icemaker to cycle and test the unit.
