I am replacing the ice tray. does the sensor wire go between the two dishes in the ice tray and then under the hook on the right side of the tray?
The sensor will just come from under the icemaker and connect to the bottom front of the ice tray. There should be 2 little knobs that hold a plastic piece that holds the sensor.
Maker very slow to make ice. have replace water filter.. Getting same water as always. Believe best to replace the ice maker.
Answer Hello John. Make sure the temp is between 0 and 5°. If not, ice production will be slow. If it is good, replace icemaker.
Does the infreezer Icemaker on my Samsung French Door refrigerator have a sensor to stop it from making ice when the bucket (plastic basket) is full?
Where should I look for it OR is it automatic?
On the side of the icemaker there is an arm that will drop as the icemaker is ready to cycle. If it makes it to the complete down position then it will allow the icemaker to cycle. If the arm meets resistance and cannot go all the way down it will delay and try later on to try to cycle.
The refrigerator has a compact icemaker DA97-00258C, the icemaker sensor is hanging loose, where is it get secured to?
There is a plastic clip with a piece of foam that the thermistor should sit in and it will clip to the bottom of the ice tray toward the front. The ice tray will have 2 tabs that the clip should attach to.
How does the Samsung icemakers work?
Answer Hello Matthews. The Samsung icemakers work the same as others. Make sure the freezer is between 0° and 5°. You need to check and see if there is power going to the water valve when the icemaker cycles. If so, replace the water valve on the unit. If not, or the icemaker does not cycle, you will need to replace the icemaker on the unit. Also, check and make sure the fill tube on the unit is not frozen and clogged. If so, replace the water valve and thaw out the fill tube. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3.
