My Samsung fridge will run for a few hours and then stops cooling. I can unplug it and it will restart. Is this the mother board?
Answer Hello Ronnie. It sounds like the main control board is bad and will need to be replaced. Check and make sure there is no bad wiring before replacing the board.
Freezer works fine, but refrigerator side freezes over on coils and the fan will not work. Had the fan checked and it is good.
You will want to check the defrost sensor and the heater assembly in the refrigerator to ensure that they are good. If they check ok then you will want to replace the control board. If they are not good then replace the necessary part that is bad.
I just repalced the Condenser Fan Motor that went bad and now the frig/freezer will not get cold. I can hear the compressor clicks on then back off again. Do you think it's the Start Relay or does that sound like the compressor itself going bad? Just don't want to keep putting money into this if its more to it than that.
Answer Hello Derek,
If the condensor fan failed then the most likely cause of the compressor not starting would be the relay. When the fan stops running it will cause compressor to overheat and shut down prematurely. When this happens the compressor will continually try to turn on. Because it is too hot it won't and will cause the relay to stop working.
How do I remove the plastic cover of the start relay of the Samsung RM255BARB without breaking it?
Answer Hello Francisco,
To remover the plastic cover on the compressor, there should be a clip or groove on the top of the cover. You want to take a pair of needle nose pliers under that clip and pull down to release the cover.
i have Samsung rs2630sh, the compressor run 10-20 second and then turn off after 3-5 minute restart again i changed RELAY-PTC and PROTECTOR-O/L but still same prolem.
