Is JUST the metal actuator for the door switch available? The switch is O.K. The piece of metal that closes the switch when the door closes broke at the foot mounting.
Answer Alan, That's one of the reasons the actuator assembly was redesigned, and substituted to the Switch Actuator kit. Due to the changes, the parts are not interchangeable if memory serves well, But it's not that difficult to repair, and of course the kit comes with illustrated instructions and all the information needed.
Is the starter switch replacement kit a direct replacement, i.e. no drilling, cutting, etc. And will this break as fast as the one on our unit?
Answer Hello Joe. With it being a kit, it can require some modification to the unit. It should last longer than the original one for the unit.
I have the new actuator assembly (w10242549) to replace the old w10155269 part, but am not sure how it fits. Any diagrams to help?
Answer Hello Greg,
We do not have a diagram to show how actuator would be installed. The Actuator is held in by 2 screws and they both mount the same way.
I am looking for the original W10155269 ACTUATOR. Can they be purchased anywhere?
Answer Hello Tom! Unfortunately, we are showing that the original actuator, W10155269, has been discontinued and is no longer available. We only carry the replacement, part number W10342596. Thanks!
