At the end of the dryer cycle the buzzer sounds but does not time out and shut off.
With the unit not shutting off and timing out at the end of the cycle, it sounds like the contacts for the timer are stuck and the timer would need to be replaced.
Dryer works fine but the buzzer will not shut off at the end of drying cycle.
This issue would most likely be caused by a bad centrifugal switch in the motor of the unit and the motor part number is 279827.
My question is my Kenmore series 70 electric dryer will not switch on. Months ago i replaced the heat element and thermo unit. Today I replaced the push to start switch and the door switch, and still nothing. There is power to the dryer as the intertor light comes on. Can any one offer some suggestions??
Answer Jim, You need to check the dryer thermal fuse 3392519. It is mounted on the blower housing, If the fuse "opens" (usually due to an overheating situation) It will not allow power to the motor, and the dryer won't start or run. This fuse is a "one shot" fuse and does not reset, it has to be replaced if it has an "open" circuit.
My maytag dryer is working but dont get hot.
Answer Hello Luis. Check and make sure you have 240 volts coming to the dryer. Check and make sure the unit is not set to Air Fluff. Also check the heater and thermostats and see if they are good. You can test these with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. They should read closed for continuity. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html
