Have electric Maytag dryer. Buzzer quit. Has quit before, and sometimes would work if you disconnect and reconnect it. Contacts tight and clean to it. Sometimes it would stay on longer than normal, or not stop at all till you opened door. Does it need replaced?

Answer Hello John. If there is power coming to the buzzer and it does not function, you will need to order and replace the buzzer 694419 on the unit.

The dryer don't stop I need open the door to stop, next day the timer work, but the dryer no. Do you thing the adjusteble buzzer is the problem?

Answer Hello Louis. You will need to test the door switch and the thermal fuse and make sure they are good. Should read closed for continuity. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. When I turn the timer to a certain drying cycle and go to push the start button all I hear is the buzzer the dryer doesn't start. I bypassed the buzzer with a jumper wire the dryer comes on but no heat. Also the dryer stays on till you unplug it.Could the buzzer be causing my problem? Part Number 694419

Answer Robert, Does the dryer timer advance, and shut off when a "timed dry" selection is made ? If it does, then suspect a heating issue and check the dryer exhaust vent system. The buzzer, could be part of the issue, but it's a rare occurrence, and you'd really want to start at the timer and temperatures, on that style dryer.Thanks and Good Luck

My Mom has a Maytag Dryer--model # LDE7800ACW. Last week, it stopped producing heat. I took the top panel off (where the timer is located)and disconected the buzzer. I thought it was the temperature fuse. Obviously I need to practice more on reading electrical diagrams. Anyway, I tapped the buzzer against mu knuckle a few times and reconnected it. Her dryer has been working fine ever since. Obviously, the buzzer cannot be what caused the dryer to stop producing heated air. I need to know what would cause this and order replacement parts so that if and when it happens again, I will have what i need to fix it. Any suggestions on what the problem is?

Answer JC, You're correct, the buzzer is the least likely issue, it's actually controlled through the motor circuit. At this point, a best guess would be the temperature switch circuit, or "sticky" thermostat. But we'll need to wait until a failure occurs to properly diagnose and repair the dryer. OK the dryer light works, but everything else dose not,I checked the power cord, the parts and everything seems OK. What can this be?

Answer Hello Norman. You will need to test the thermal fuse 3392519 and the door switch 3406107. They should read closed for continuity. The door switch will read closed with the door closed. If they are bad, the unit will not start. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. I need to replace the buzzer on my Maytag LDE512 dryer. There is no adjustment for the buzzer, so why do I need the more expensive adjustable buzzer (AP3019850)? Can I use another, cheaper buzzer? If so, please provide part number.

Answer Hello Tom! The manufacture has discontinued the original buzzer on model LDE512. The new replacment they have suggested for this model is part number 694419. This is the only buzzer we can suggest for your product. Thanks.

It dries the cycle then stops like it should. Then the buzzer wont stop buzzing till you open the door. But reguardless where you put the control knob it will start drying if it is in a drying cycle when you shut the door.

Answer Hi Lois. you may have 2- seperate issues. First, the dryer should not start immediately when you shut the door . This push to start sw. is shorted, this part # is 3977456. The buzzer is part # 694419. Thank you.

The Whirlpool Estate dryer that I have does not have a cycle ending buzzer. However, the only other Estate dryer, the EED4100WQ does. Is there anyway that the above buzzer kit (AP3019850) can be added to my dryer?

Answer Roger, It probably could be done, but you'd have to re wire the dryer, using the wiring diagrams from both units, in order to make the proper connections,and wire location changes, Good Luck, Thanks
