I replaced the upper agitator and the dogs but when I put the upper agitator back in it did not snap in. So when I started washing I noticed the tub would not move. Do I have the wrong bottom agitator or does the tub not move when agitating.

Machine makes a lot of noise while agitating. I removed the agitator and gave it a test cycle. It was still making some noise without the agitator installed, just not as loud, but much noisier than normal according to my wife. It runs quiet on the spin cycle. I haven't checked it underneath yet.

Hello, my agitator moves in one direction as it should. However, the top portion (under the fabric softener) floats up and down with about 1/4 to 3/8 an inch of travel. This movement creates a "banging" noise while running the machine on full speed during the wash cycle. Should the agitator have this much vertical travel? I checked the drive, belts, transmission and teeth, it is definitely the agitator but I want to make sure it is not how the part was made. Thanks, Mike
