I had a problem with my freezer thawing out the frozen food and then freezing again. I replaced the defrost timer and it didn't fix it. I then replaced the cold control and it fixed the freezer problem. After a few months, we noticed the fridge was freezing food. I had to turn the fridge knob almost to the off position to keep things from freezing. It recently started freezing food in the fridge on the lowest setting. I just looked and the freezer knob was set to B. I put it to A on the lowest setting to see if that helps. The bar going from the knob to the damper control seems to be working fine. Does this appear to be a defective cold control or could it be the damper control? Thank you, Joe.

My frozen food side is about 18 degrees F, but the fresh foods side has trouble getting below 50 degrees, and even after letting it alone for 24 hours it was only 46 degress. This is with the cold setting at 5 and the freezer setting at the warmest. Changing the freezer setting does open and close the doors in the diffuser. I ran hot water through the air return, and when I plugged in the unit again the defrost kicked on clearing all of the frost on the coils in the freezer side. The fan on the freezer side is running and blowing the air about what I would expect. The air flow through the diffuser doesn't seem effected by having the freezer door open or close. However, the air flow seems less than I would expect. Would this be the diffuser that is bad?

The top shelf area of the refigerator is not cooling well. It seems to be cool enough on the bottom half. Is there a fan up top behind the diffuser that may need to be replaced?

Freezer temp is great 0 and below, working fine, making ice etc. Refrigerator side air flow(diffuser) blowing cold air but barely(not enough to cool down that side). Is it stuck or a bad defuser? No frost behind the freezer wall. How do I find the diagram to take that difuser apart and replace it (suspecting thats the problem)? Whats the part # etc? Difuser screwed in there with a foam around it (access from fridge or freezer side?).. Thx

Hello and thank you my question! Very low pressure air flows from air diffuser that is behind the control panel. No ice build up is present and the fan is working and from the freezer side it also looks clear? Thanks

My refrig has a problem that it freezes some stuff on the top shelf. Bottles of water are okay but stuff like cream cheese and eggs freeze if put up there. I looked at the diffuser but it looks like it is just a pass through device. I've adjusted the controls but if I use the warmer setting to keep it from freezing that stuff the lower levels are too warm. Is this just a problem of design, food placement or possible defective part? Thanks for any info or ideas.
