My dishwasher began making a loud grinding noise. After a few weeks it completely stopped. I figure I need the motor or pump or something like that. However I don't know which one to choose. I see AP4434612 which is for the whole motor, pump and sump assembly. Or I can choose AP4434617 which looks like the same thing. What would I need? Thanks!

I'm pretty sure I have a problem with either the circulation pump motor or the impeller on my dishwasher. After seeing your video, I think I could handle the replacement of the motor. The entire pump assembly is only $35 more, I'm leaning toward buying that in order to get new chopper, etc. Questions: 1) How hard is it to replace the entire pump and sump assembly? Do you have a video for that? Is it harder than swapping out a motor? 2) Does the pump assembly come with a thermistor? The description makes it sound like it doesn't, and that it has a "new, larger Thermister port". I'm wondering if my present (perfectly good) thermister will fit. Thanks very much. Mark

Makes a constant very loud moaning sound, cleans dishes fine, I cleaned the sump (filled with pits and toothpicks) and spun the chopper blade a bit and it seemed smooth (with very slow rpm spinning). Should I get a new dishwasher or do u know what is wrong?

My dishwasher is not sending water to top sprays thus not cleaning dishes. Would this be my pump or chopper assembly? Thanks

Dishwasher starts pumps and heats water but wash cycle won't start it just hums and shuts down. Cancel/drain cycle worked. Tear down indicated mechanical problems (bearings fell out of housing on motor shaft). I'm considering buying the circulation pump and motor assembly to repair. My concern is I live in a remote area with frequent power outages which have damaged other appliances. I'd hate to spend this much on repair parts and then find I've got a circuit board problem also. Do the facts that all the modes seemed to work filling and heating the water and also the cancel/drain was functional in general indicate the circuit boards are OK? Thanks

Is there anyway to tell if I need a circ pump assembly versus a control board? And should I just buy a new machine if either/both of those are bad? I know that water is coming in and being pumped out because I've opened the door during the cycle. But the dishes are not being cleaned. It's like they never get sprayed. It was getting louder the last couple months but it's only five years old. Doesn't anyone build a dishwasher for under $1000.00 that lasts?

My dishwasher does not spray out of the top arms it seems to be working on the bottom one though. Do you think it could be the circulation pump. I already took it all apart and cleaned it all out so I know there are not any clogs in the unit.
