My dryer will start sometimes but if you switch from regular to one of other settings, (mild delicate etc), the flame goes out and I have to shut it off and wait a couple of minutes to get it to start again.

If the gas valve won't shut off can the valve be repaired? I just got the dryer and I don't know if it was switched over to propane. Would that cause the valve not to shut off?

Answer Hello, The gas valve 37001127 cannot be serviced, only replaced. You don't want to service a valve that could be an explosion hazard. Also, the gas supplied to the valve will not cause a valve failure unless the gas is contaminated. Your best choice is to replace the valve.

When my dryer shuts off i smell strong gas , no leaks in gas pipe conections.

Answer Hello DDS. If nothing is leaking in the gas supply, then the valve 37001002 is not shutting off and will need to be replaced on the unit.

Gas dryer flame comes on when first starts, but flame goes out during the cycle. Ignitor comes back on but flame does not. Ignitor comes on a couple more times but flame does not. If I wait awhile before I restart, the flame will come on again. Dryer is serial # 10039168CN Thanks, Matt

Answer Hello Matthew, You have a bad coil on the safety valve. The two coils come in a kit 279834.

The burner comes on at first for a few seconds. then have to wait 2 or 3 hours for it to do it again. The piolet light does come even though the burner does not. thanks LYLE

My dryer does not heat, the igniter comes on but no gas. I checked the continuity on all the parts including the coils. All seem to be functioning properly. can you help?

Answer Jim, You still have a problem with the gas valve coils, most likely 279834, you may want to check the coil resistance again, but wait until you've run the dryer for 15 minutes first. Good Luck and Thanks.

Gas dryer flame comes on when first starts. Flame goes out after cycle then glow plug comes back on but flame does not. Dryer glow plug comes on couple more times but flame does not. I have to wait awhile before I restart and flame comes on once again. Sensors test good and I have new solenoids.
