When the washer goes into spin, it makes a squealing noise. It gradually will stop when it gets to top speed. Thanks
Answer Hello Mike. You need to check the clutch 285785 and the drive block 389140 in the unit. It sounds like the clutch mostly, but make sure the drive block is not stripped out.
What is the cu capacity of whirlpool washer model LBR5432LQ1?
Answer BP, model number LBR5432LQ1 is a 2.5 CU FT Whirlpool Washer. Thanks!
Washer makes a loud noise when it goes out spin cycle or when cycle is stopping.
Answer Hello James. You need to check and see if the drive block 389140 is bad on the unit and needs to be replaced. If so, it will cause the unit to be loud during that cycle.
When I run the washer, the basket doesn't spin but I heard that the machine below the tub was spinning. The first time that this thing happened, I could smell like electric burn too. Also when the machine was running from wash to rinse to spin to done, the lid locked light was off. Below I wrote down the time that each thing had happened: Put two small piecies of kitchen rugs into the washer,
8:27 a.m. Sensing was on, lid locked was on, in a few second lid locked light was off then was on again.
8:37 running water, Lid locked was off, and sensing light was on.
8:47 stop running water, change to wash cycle, but the machine was quiet.l
8:52 drained water out, the machine was spinning but not the tub.
8:56 running water
8:57 changed to rinse cycle, had some water in and drained
8:58 changed to spin cycle, quiet until 9:18 a.m.
9:18 Spinning only at the bottom not the tub
9:22 changed to Done and the rugs are still soak wet.
What is the problem? Can I fix it myself, what is the part and how much? Thanks.
Answer Hello Nuttaya,
This unit needs to be put into the self diagnostic routine. This is fully explained on the tech sheet, (in the control panel or in a plastic bag inside the front of the main cabinet). It is initiated by pressing "SOAK - SOIL LEVEL - SOAK - SOIL LEVEL" within five (5) seconds while the machine is in Standby Mode. This will pull any fault codes which will lead you to the part of the unit experiencing failure.
