Yesterday 6/4/2014 I took ice from the ice bin by hand to fill up my 1 gallon water jug. The ice maker has not made any ice since then. What did I do that turned the ice maker off? The bail arm was in the down position all day. Thank yo, terry
You will want to make sure that the bail arm did not come loose and the icemaker actually in the off position. To find out you can pull the icemaker out and make sure that the bail arm is in the little brown slot on the back of the housing and then make sure it is down. If this is ok then you would want to pull the front off the icemaker and check the pins in the center of the large wheel. If the pins are pushed together or one of the 2 are missing then the icemaker module W10190935 would need to be replaced.
I need installation instructions for this part. I need to know what it will look lilke when it is on. Thank you.
Answer Hello Fred. The end that has the waves in it inserts in the white hole on the module head and the smooth end of the bail arm W10152975 inserts into the fill cup. You can see the bail arm installed on the icemaker in these pictures 8560.
How do you remove arm bar from old ice maker?
Answer Hello Richard. You will pull out the end going into the icemaker head, and then pull the other end out of the fill cup. Install the new arm W10152975 in reverse order.
Do I need the thin wire that comes with the Bail Arm? Mine does not show the thin wire that is attached to the Bail Arm as shown in your diagram.
Answer Bobby, No, you don't have to have the thin wire that's attached to the new bail arm. It actually reduces the amount of ice produced, when positioned and "locked" in place on the bail arm. Thanks and Good Luck
