Answer Hello Gene. Test for 240 volts coming to the element. If it is not there, you will need to replace the thermostat 700158. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Answer First disconnect power to the unit. Remove the screws, and pull the element out just enough to get to the wires on it. Unplug old element and hook up new one. Reinstall screws. Test that the element is working properly.
