My whirlpool electric stove oven will not come on why?
Answer Hello Kelvin. If nothing is working, you will need to check and make sure there is 240 volts coming to the unit. If only the oven is not working, you may need to replace the control on the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html

Will this particular part fit a Roper Brand cookstove?
Answer Hello Lou. Yes, based on the model number you provided, W10308477 is the correct element. Hope this helps.
i bought a new bake element from you, part # w10308477 and replaced it. the element does not heat up, took out and checked connections and tried again, no go. can you help me? thanks
Answer Greg, Can you get access to a multimeter, The easiest way to check is to remove the element so you can access the element terminals and check for 240 VAC across the two(2) terminals of the element with the wires attached. The alternative is to slide the range out remove the back panel and check the wires from the element terminals back up to the connections on the back of the ERC/Clock, If the wiring appears and checks OK, you'll have to assume the bake relay on the ERC has failed and will need to replace it 6610456 Good Luck and Thanks
How can you tell if this part is bad? My model is RF262LXSB0.
Answer Hello Calvin! You will need to test to see if you are getting 240v to the bake element. If you are, the element will need to be replaced. If you aren't getting the proper voltage you will then need to check for loose/broken wiring and replace the control W10114371. Hope this helps, Thanks!
