How do I remove the softner cup to get to the bolt that holds the agitator base down?
Answer Hello Al. The cap on the top of the agitator pulls off the agitator. Some of these can be tight and difficult to remove.
We cant remove lower base of agitator to replace bearing and seal?
Answer Hello Pablo. Once the center bolt is removed, the lower section pulls upward. If it is stuck, run a rope under it and jerk the rope upward to free the lower section of the unit.
My base came off and I can't get it back down. Is there a certain way to put it back on?
Answer Hello Lateshia. Yes, you will need to line up the splines of the agitator 21001530 with the splines of the transmission. Once they line up, the agitator base will push down. Hope this helps.
My washer does not agitate. It only spins. Will this part repair the problem?
Answer Hello Jackie. You will need to check and see if the thrust bearing is wore and bad. If so, you will need to replace the thrust bearing 12002213. If it is good, then you may have a bad transmission 35-6615. You can check the splines inside the agitator base and see if they are stripped out. Hope this helps.
