Two of my baffles inside the drum broke off. I have found the baffle parts and the screws but how do I put them on?
Answer Hello Glen,
In order to replace the baffles on this unit it will need to have the tub assembly pulled and disassembled. The baffles screw in from the outside of the drum assembly. When you pull the metal clips from the outer tub assembly you will want to mark each end where they go so that you put them back in the same place.
Please tell me the capacity of the tub on this washing machine.
Answer Hello David! Unfortunately, we do not have the exact capacity available. According to the specs the manufacturer lists it as a super capacity washer. Thanks.
Is there a lifetime warranty on the AP4459040 (stainless steel wash drum)?
Answer Hello Cisco,
As a repair technician, I am fairly sure that the stainless steel tub is warranted for life, but as I recall, this lifetime warranty is for rust only.
I don't know what it is called. Inside the wash drum is gray plastic paddles or fins that help the clothes tumble. Once cam off. Can I get one only or do I have to get a whole basket?
Answer Hello Cindy! The baffle is available separate. The manufacturer offers the baffle in a kit of three, part number 285976. For a single baffle use part number 8182233. The manufacturer does not offer the screws with the baffles. If needed use part number 3196427. Thanks!
My old outer tub was chaffed and had a hole in it, I bought a new tub and installed it and it also chaffed but no hole. Whats happening?
Answer Hello Michael. If you replaced the front of the outer tub, the rear outer tub W10253866 may have a bad bearing and is letting the basket rub the front tub. If so, you will need to replace the rear tub assembly. Hope this helps.
