Loud noise airplane noise while operating. Sometimes error F51. I manually turn wash basket and units will restart. Disassembled unit. Drive shaft bearing/bushing seem to be bushings and not real bearings. Shaft seems rusted. Will bearings/bushings cure the noise? does the outer tub assembly (shaft, bearings, housing) need replacing? Thanks in advance!
Answer Hello Randy,
This will take the outer tub assembly W10193886 since it comes with the shaft and bearing pre-installed in it. Also, if you are getting the F51 code, either the rps W10178988 has failed or the harness W10137697 to it has an issue. While this could be a connection issue, it is more likely that since the bearing has failed, the motor rotor has most likely contacted the stator windings and caused the rps issue. You should remove the rotor 280146 and inspect the magnets inside it for fractures since this can cause issues also.
I have a Cabrio that is making horrible noise during the spin cycle. I am assuming it is the bearings. I do not know what parts I need. Thank you for the help.
To replace the bearings you will need bearing part number W10435302 and the bearing tool part number W10447783. You can replace the bearing individually or you can replace the outer tub which includes the bearing part number W10193886
