The new idler wheel does not match the profile of the original. As the picture shows the surface the belt rides is flat, the original has the face stepped down to accommodate the narrow width the drive belt. Will the wider surface cause problems resulting with the belt jumping off the idler?

Is there a locking clip to secure the idler pulley to the shaft? I didn't find one on my dryer.

Is there at update for this part? The reason I am asking is because oil-lite bearings like the one pressed into the idler pulley are not meant to work in a hot environment; right next to the dryer exhaust vent. There is oil impregnated in the bearing, but it will 'dry' out over time from the heat. If it starts to squeak apply a liberal amount of wheel bearing grease on the shaft and bearing surface.
