the belt keeps coming of, i have tightend the nut but still it comes of. Also the machine is vibrating more than eaver. do i need a new belt?
Answer Alan, We would not expect the belt to be the issue at this point. If the belt is "falling off" and you're sure the pulley shaft nut is tight and locked in place, you'll need to check the motor mount bolts and tub assembly to make sure the assembly and bolts are not loose. Also check and make sure there is no side to side play in the tub bearings and tub basket shaft. If the washer is on a solid floor, properly leveled, and not being overloded, you'll need to check the tub dampening assemblies 8182703 and see that they are not worn, or loose.
my washer will not pump the water all the time what should i look for
Answer Bob, Your first check should be at the drain pump filter/cap 8181735 and the drain pump 280187 and hoses for clogs. you'll need to remove the lower access panel and have a few towels or shallow pans to collect the water. Thanks
This belt is really hard to put around both pulleys. Are there any special tools I should be using or another easier way to install?
Answer Hello Donna. No, there are no special tools needed, but the belt W10388414 is very tight. Start the belt on the motor pulley and roll it onto the large pulley. Once you start rolling it onto the large pulley, make sure you hold the belt against the pulley and use both hands to walk the pulley around.
I just bought the belt and I was able to get it installed. Now I can't get it centered. I don't know if I put it on wrong or what. Thanks for your help. Coty
Answer Coty, Acouple of things to check, Make sure the pin pulley bolt is good and tight and the pulley doesn't "wobble" . Also check the motor mount bolts, that attach the motor to the tub assembly are also properlt torqued/ tightened. Good Luck and Thanks
Note: This question is for the older version of this part, but we thought you might still find it helpful
I occasionally get the error #06 at the beginning of the final spin cycle. Could this be caused by an old belt? The unit is 6 years old and started doing it intermittently about a year ago.
Answer Hello Mike. The control is unable to properly detect motor speed and the machine
will shut down. If a failure occurs during high-speed spin, the door will
be unlocked after three minutes. 1. Verify the shipping system including shipping bolts, spacers
and cables are removed.
2. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
3. Check wire harness connections between the drive motor and
the Motor Control Unit (MCU), and between the MCU and the
Central Control Unit (CCU).
4. Plug in washer or reconnect power.
5. Check the MCU by looking for operations of the drive motor.
6. Check the drive motor for powered rotations. If there is power to the motor and the motor does not run, you will need to replace the motor 8182793. Hope this helps.
