I've replaced the bezels twice because of broken latch tangs, and now I have to replace the fan motor because the corresponding latch clips are now broken. Is this normal/weakness/defect and how do I replace the fan motor?
Answer Hello Henry,
To remove the fan motor on unit you will disconnect power to unit. Turn off the water. Disconnect drain line. Remove door panel from drawer. To remove door panel open the dishwasher drawer Using a pair of long nosed pliers, pull out the left and right pins from the tub. NOTE keep the pin web in the vertical position when you reinstall the pin in the tub. Pull the drawer front down so it is free of the handle and the top locating slots and remove the front. You will then want to remove the dishwasher drawer and turn it over. To remove drawer Press in on the tub clips on the left and right rails, and push the rails back about 1". Lift the drawer from the rails, and push the raise back to the cabinet. Pull out on the drying fan air chute and slide the chute off the drawer. NOTE: The top of the chute has two small slots that fit into tabs, so you may have to push up on the top while you pull out to clear the tabs. Pull the fan/LED connector off the controller board marked fan. Using a straight-blade screwdriver, pry the three locking tabs holding the drying fan away from the fan, and remove it from the drawer holder.
If I order a new Bezel for my dishwasher, do I need the little white foam piece that was in it as well? if so, how do I order this? My other Bezel broke and I'm not sure where the white thing is.
Answer Lisa, Could this be the part you're looking for 99003715 it is the inlet fan filter and would appear as a "foam pad" , like your description. The dishwasher will work without it either way. Good Luck and Thanks
How to install this part. I fiddle and still not able to fit it in. Thanks
Answer Mary, This should be a pretty easy process "5. To remove the inlet and outlet bezels, twist the bezels 1/4-turn counterclockwise. NOTE: There is a filter behind the outlet bezel (vent). Be sure it is in place before reinstalling the bezel." It can be a tight fit,due to the "O" ring on the "inlet Cap" a little rinse agent or alcohol on the ring should help. Good Luck and Thanks
