I opened the back panel of my freezer to get to the bimetl-def, which I have located, but my problem is that one of the bimetl-def (Brown)wire is connected to another wire (which leads to something else),crimped onto a wire connector with a male pin on the other end. I would have to cut both wires to disconnect the bimetl-def from the wire connector in order to change it out. My question is, I can't find the wire connector (with the male pin on the end which is inserted into a harnest), to fasten both wires.

Hi, my freezer is defrosting with no standing water or ice on the freezer walls. The problem I am having is that the items in the freezer are mostly frozen but not totally frozen. Perfect example would be the ice freezes in the ice maker perfectly and is emptied into the bucket but the ice begins to melt just enough to make them stick together. Bananas are not totally frozen, the outside layer is very sticky and that is not normal for my freezer. I have two parts available for the freezer Part # AP4511066 which is a Defrost Thermostat Then there is the choice Part # AP3110896 which is a Defrost Timer Switch Kit So, I called your company and was told it would be the first part I would need # AP4511066 and after watching your video on installation of this part you mentioned at the beginning that this would be for controlling the defrost heater. If the heater isn't turning on or off. I am confused as to which part I might need. I am thinking this might be it but I admit I am unsure if it is correct or not. Can you help me with this part #? Thanks for your videos.

Whirlpool Side-By-Side Refrigerator model #GS6SHAXMQ00 mfg Sept, 2003. Classic problem with Freezer working fine and fridge barely cool. Ice forming in the bottom of freezer - probably from drain being frozen. Took off back panel inside freezer and coils covered in frost/ice. No air being pushed by fan from freezer to fridge. Seems likely that the defrost mechanism is kapoot but this is the extent of my knowledge. Suggestions? Thanks !

Freezer keeps frosting up and drain keeps freezing leaving a pool of water on the floor of my freezer. I have defrosted and cleared the drain line 6 times in the last six months. Last time I ran a thin copper wire down the drain tube to keep it heated during defrost cycle to allow water to drain. Worked for about six weeks and now it is frozen solid again. My Dad thinks I need to replace the Defrost bi-metal. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated being that Sears customer service is worthless.

Our refrigerator was running fine then just shut down. Could not hear anything from it. Started warming up and never came back on. However when you opened the doors the lights came on so there was power. Could this be the defrost thermostat? We have dials at the top for temperature control in freezer and fresh food compartment. Any help would be great. Thank You

Items in Freezer keep getting frost on them. I also have ice on the bottom of the freezer floor (inside) side-by-side unit. I was able to remove the ice and unplug the drain and the problem continues. Everything else seems to be working fine. Could this be a Defrost Thermostat issue?
