Answer Tony, You may have a loose or damaged drain hose, or tub cover. You may want to remove the washer cabinet and check. You'll need to remove power to the washer, on the back of the control panel end caps there will be a phillips head screw that needs to be removed, then slide the panel towards the front and tip the console back on the hinges that secure the top of the console to the washer back panel.Unplug the lid switch harness from the switch, remove the cabinet mounting clips by placing a flat blade screw driver in the front of the clip and press down and away to release the clip. Remove the cabinet by tilting it forward and pulling it away from the washer. You now have access to all the internal hoses tubs and other parts. If you use a jumper wire in the lid switch wire harness you can run the washer with the cabinet off if needed, but you need to be careful of moving parts and wires.
It will not agitate or spin on any cycle just make rachet noise.

Answer Hello Roger. You will need to check and see if the motor coupling 285753A is bad on the unit. If it is broke or is bad, it will cause the unit to do what you are describing.
The spin cycle doesn't always work. Sometimes I have to turn the tub and then it will spin.
Randy for Model Number LSB6000PQ2
Answer Randy, You don't really want to start at the gearcase/transmission. You more than likely have a worn or slipping clutch assembly 285785 or brake pads 285438. Here's some information that may help you out [http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/washer-repair/3265-replacing-direct-drive-washer-brake-shoes.html] Thanks and Good Luck
I removed the agitator cap and the cams are working.
Santos for Model Number la7681xswo
Answer Hello Santos. If the cams are working, then check and see if the motor coupling is broke. If not and the cams are good, you will need to replace the transmission in the unit.
I've had this washer over 10years, and now the agitator doesn't work during any wash cycles, is this the agitator cam?
Santos for Model Number la7681xswo
Answer Hello Santos. Remove the cap off the agitator and turn it by hand and see if the cams are working. If not, you will need to replace the cam kit 285811 in the washer.
