My washer won't quit filling up with water and it overflows. Can you tell me what part needs to be fixed? The water level switch is hard to turn can this be my problem. Thanks Homerepairman
Here's how to determine what the problem is: Start the machine filling with water. Unplug the washer. If the water continues to flow, the water valve 285805 has failed. If unplugging the machine stops the water, the issue is either the water level switch is clogged at the tub end or the water level switch has failed. Remove the hose from the water level switch and blow into it. If you can hear the air escaping into the tub area, replace the water level switch W10337780.
Tenants have told me that sometimes on second load of laundry washer fills only 7-8 inches what can cause this ?
Answer Hello David. Check and see if to much of the drain hose is inside the drain pipe and is causing the machine to siphon out the water in the unit. Also, make sure air can get around the hose so it will not siphon out. Hope this helps.
My washer will not fill, the water just continues to drain directly back out of the tub. This happens in both the wash and rinse cycles. It used to be sporatic but is now consitent. Would I need to replace the break vac?
Answer Hello Amy. You will need to check and see if the drain hose is to far into the drain pipe. It only needs to be about 6 or 8 inches inside the pipe. Also, check and make sure there is an air gap around the drain hose and it is not air tight inside the pipe. The vac break will not fix the problem. Hope this helps.
