I purchased this oven in 1987. This is the first trouble I've had. Should I expect more to begin happening at this age or should I purchase a new oven?
J. Fuller for Model Number RB220PXK
Answer Hello J. If the oven has been working properly, it is not uncommon for the element 660579 to burn out after that kind of time period. Hope this helps.
How do I install the broiler element?
Robert G. for Model Number RF390PXP
Answer Hello Robert. Disconnect the power to the unit. Remove the screws securing the broil element 660579 in place. Pull the element out and unhook the wires going to the element. Reinstall in reverse order with the new element. Hope this helps.
I would still like to know either what the wattage of the broiler element is or the resistance is. Thanks, replacement part #AP3077189.

Answer Hello Bryan! The broil element 660579 is a 208V element. Unfortunately, we do not know the exact resistance or wattage, it seems to be around 2500 to 3000 watt. What is the wattage of the broiler element? I would like to check the resistance of the element to make sure I need a new one.

Answer Hello Bryan. You will need to unplug the wires to the element and test the element. It should read closed for continuity. If it is open, it is bad. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DM1. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter.
