This burner appears to have a shutter on it. The one I need to replace on my Whirlpool dryer doesn't have one. Will I need to adjust the shutter on the new one, or does it come pre-set? Or should I just take it off so it looks like the one I am replacing? Thanks.

On my LGR7646EQ3 dryer, I have a problem with drying clothes. Both coils have been replaced and ignitor. Intermittently fires burner and when it doesn't fire, there is still raw gas venting to the outside. I have disassembled the entire burner assy. and found that the burner tube has deteriated like a v notch missing from the ignitor area. You would think that this would help ignite the gas better! But it doesn't. Someone else posted a similar problem but did not mention if they still smelled gas. The dryer cycles just fine, but, doesn't ignite all the time! Would it be a safe bet to replace the burner tube so the gas goes straight through, rather, then leaking through the v area of the ignitor? I'm assuming that the tube due to age has deteriated and is effecting the normal burn cycle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again Bill

Dryer heats for a few minutes then heat shuts off. I have cleaned the exhaust and the interior off the dryer, replaced the coils with no progress. A few bloggers have said the heat sensor would be next, your thoughts?

Even when my gas dryer is off there is still fire coming out the burner. Like I lit candle. It looks like pilot light. But I know it has no pilots. Can you tell me why there is fire even when the dryer has finished the cycle and is off? Thanks.

The Dryer stopped heating. I replaced the Glow Igniter which was broken and the coils. Still no heat. Everything else works. Replaced exhaust tube and vacuumed everything out. There's no thermal fuse is there? Could it be the thermostat?

Hi, My dryer is not heating. The ignitor clicks on and glows orange and cuts off but no blue flame appears. I have replaced the split coils but the problem remains. Is this my gas valve that is the problem? The gas to the dryer is fine and the venting system is fine as well.

When I turned on the dryer, it ignited and flame followed for two minutes, then the flame turned off. After a minute the igniter turned on but the flame doesn't come out. This happened even with the vent not connected.
