Seems the flame from the burner is too big. Also, the flame is shutting down after just 45 seconds. I've tested the flame sensor per troubleshooting sent to me by one of your representitives and found that when covering the lense the resistance did not read high. I since have ordered and recieved a new sensor from Appliance parts pros. This new part has the identical reading as the old flame sensor (no high resistance when lense is covered). Is this in fact a problem with my burner or could I have recieved a faulty flame sensor?

Let me first say I was lucky to find this site, thank you. I have replaced the thermal fuse and igniter still not heating. Once in a while it will heat with first cycle only then just cold air after that. As it tries to light again I hear a slight chattering sound like its going to work but it doesn't. Do I now replace the coils, flame sensor or burner? I really appreciate all your help in advance. Jen

This burner appears to have a shutter on it. The one I need to replace on my Whirlpool dryer doesn't have one. Will I need to adjust the shutter on the new one, or does it come pre-set? Or should I just take it off so it looks like the one I am replacing? Thanks.

On my LGR7646EQ3 dryer, I have a problem with drying clothes. Both coils have been replaced and ignitor. Intermittently fires burner and when it doesn't fire, there is still raw gas venting to the outside. I have disassembled the entire burner assy. and found that the burner tube has deteriated like a v notch missing from the ignitor area. You would think that this would help ignite the gas better! But it doesn't. Someone else posted a similar problem but did not mention if they still smelled gas. The dryer cycles just fine, but, doesn't ignite all the time! Would it be a safe bet to replace the burner tube so the gas goes straight through, rather, then leaking through the v area of the ignitor? I'm assuming that the tube due to age has deteriated and is effecting the normal burn cycle. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again Bill
