I don't see the difference between part AP4415505 and AP4394827. These sealed burners both have the spark electrode, but the picture for the AP4394827 doesn't have the third picture showing if the gas tube into the burner is different or what the difference is. My inclination is to get the less expensive one, but if there is a reason not to, I would want to know it. What would the least expensive shipping to Chapel Hill, NC 27516 be for two of these burner heads? Thanks, -Ed

Answer Pricilla, The part numbers for the sealed burners are 3412D021-09 for the right front booster burner. The other 3 burners are part number 3412D024-09.

The igniters of my stove quit working. Before, all of the igniters would spark together whenever I would turn on any burner. Do I need to replace all of them? Thanks.

Answer Ron, It's not likely you'll need any of the burners, you want to check and make sure they're all clean of any spillage or debris. You most likely have a faulty spark module 8215557 if none of the igniters spark.

This burner exactly matches in appearance the replacement I am looking for, but I can not tell if it is the correct diameter. Model number on maytag range is obscured. It is about 10 yrs old, low end model. Base of burners are all 4", caps are all 3". Would you be able to tell me diameter of this burner? Thanks.

Answer Anne, To remove the burner head you would use a rubber jar opener and twist the burner head off. Make sure that you disconnect the power as there will be a wire attached. Then remove wire and connect to new head and twist on.

I need to know where to order, or a part number for an air shutter for the burner that appears in image 3 of 3412D024-09. The other burner 3412D021-09 which is the low heat burner does not have one on my stove and you informed me that all burners need one.

Answer Hello Scott, The air shutters come with the burner head and cannot be gotten as a separate part.

This range has one high output burner (left front ), 2 mediums (right front and right rear), and a low output burner (left rear). Would it be possible to replace parts in order to make the right front high output as well? If so, what parts would be required?

Answer Hello Elmo, There is no way possible to change the unit to have 2 high output burners. The way that the unit is designed it would not be able to carry the correct amount of gas to allow 2 high output.

My front, right burner stopped sparking a month ago. I have been using a lighter to light the burner. I ordered a new burner head this week and replaced it today. Nothing happened, no ignition. Is there something else that could keep a burner from igniting? Thank you for your time and assistance, Julie

Answer Julie, If there's no spark at all, to the burner igniter, You'll need to remove the burners, the burner mounting screws and raise the top to access the igniter switches 7403P279-60 and wiring to see if theres any visible damage or loose connections. If all checks OK, then you'll need to check or replce the spark module 12001596 and check the wires from the module to the igniters on each burner.

OK when I moved the back burner to where the problem was in the front it did not work and when i moved the front burner to the back it worked so i does not seem its the burner..all the burner iginitions seem to move in an up and down movement except the one in the front only does a downward ignite movement..Not really sure what it could be..Any other suggestions would be well taken..Thanks

Answer Dave, We believe you mean the burner valve stem does not move up and down , not the igniters on the burner ? You'll need to remove the cooktop, and check the gas valve and igniter switch for possible damage to both components. Thanks Again.

Do I need both burners AP4415505 and AP4394827? Both my front burners are rusted at the base and small flames are appearing when lit. I removed both but can't tell the difference between the two.

Answer Gil, your model uses three burner heads part number 3412D024-09 and one burner head part number 3412D021-09. Per the manufacturer the gasket is no longer needed for the burner head. Thanks!
