What would make this model Maytag not drain at all without being plugged in any way? Pump? capacitor?
Answer Hello Sam. The model number you provided is not working. We will need your model number to help you with this. Please post your model number with a new question on the parts page. http://www.appliancepartspros.com/modelnumber_locator.aspx
Some light come on when you try and start but nothing happens
Answer Hello Steven. If some buttons work and others do not work, it sounds like the control panel W10235719 is bad and will need to be replaced in the unit.
If start capacitor is bad would that make pump run all the time ?
Answer Hi Gene. The answer is no, the pump will not be energized from the capacitor. We will need your serial # to get you the correct control board part # since there are 3 of them. If the serial # first 2 letters stare or are below # 10...... then the board is part # 99003162. If it starts w/ # 11....... it is part # . If it starts w/ 19....... then it is part # 12002711. Finally if it is # 29............ it is part # 99003478. First you need to follow the suppiled tech. sheet to see if the unit allows a certain code to show. It as well can be a control panel keypad stuck. Let us know.... Thank You.
