My Maytag Gemini is giving a persistent F1-1 error message which troubleshoots out as a possibly a bad membrane switch. The remedy is listed as "test membrane switch." Is the membrane switch the keypad? The manual doesn't tell me/show me what the membrane switch looks like or how to test it. Can you help me identify where I can find the membrane switch and what I need to do to test it? Thanks for your help. If you see a different solution to my error code, feel free to offer that as well.

Maytag Gemini double oven range. Everything works fine but the upper oven light keeps coming on, on it's own, and I can hear the click the oven makes when it is turned on but without a temperature set we are just getting the light. What can cause this?

I got error messages F1-1 and F3-1 when operating the upper oven. I was advised to change the temp sensor. The oven still gives the codes occasionally. Does this indicate the control board is failing? Are there any tests that I can do to verify the problem before changing the board?

The lower oven temp swings 25deg. below and 25deg above setpoint. I have checked thermocouple ohms and it checks good. Also the lower oven light comes on when you use the stove top and stays on till stove top cools down.

While cooking on the stove top, (neither of the double ovens were on or had been on that day), an error mssg came up, F9-3. I hit cancel and a short time later error mssg F9-6 appeared. I looked up the code and checked for any obstructions in either door. Reset error code by hitting cancel once again. The same error code reappeared. This time I cut pwr to the range & waited a couple of minutes. After a short time of the pwr being back on the same code appeared. What gives?

On our 12 year old Maytag double oven range, the top Glass Top Range is working fine. However, both ovens quit working and push buttons on control panel (p/n 74004542) do not operate anything. The clock did work till I unplugged the range to check for loose connections at the power cord. I did find a loose connection but did not corrrect the ovens not working. A single BEEP was all the indication I received prior to the ovens not working and the BEEP was sounded during the oven beign OFF. No codes are visible on the touch screen. Question: Do you have any trouble shooting advice you may offer, such as a reset button, fuse, etc? A new panel is $300.00 and new oven is $1300.00. I would like to try fixing this oven. I was able to verify the first transformer is working. The second tansformer is part of the circuit board. My other option is I have a few Circuit Board Repair companies available to me through my work and might have to consider that option. Thank you, Lee

Oven is MER6770AAB Got F1:-2 faults repeatably. Replaced the sensor even though it passed the ohm test in the video. A couple weeks later F1:-2 faults started to occur again. Checked both sensors, OK. Moved the replacement sensor I bought from you to the top from the bottom. Got a F1:-3 fault, but it did not reoccur. Just got a F1 fault and oven stopped heating. Turned off power for one minute to reset oven. Turned back on. Faults cleared and working for now. I watched the video for the ERC. All touchpad functions work. Is the next step the 12001661 clock assembly? Looking for advice before investing more in this 12 year old oven as the 12001661 is very expensive. Bud

I just purchased a replacement clock, part number 12001661, and have two questions about the wiring. 1) My old clock wiring did have a jumper in place as shown in the new style diagram instructions that came with the part. Is this possible and do I just hook it up as instructed? 2) Will the oven work if the wiring is wrong? Basically the instructions seem to indicate that my wiring will not have a black jumper wire but it does. The black comes off a harness just above these connections, then goes to the first black spot, jumpers to the second and then out the back of the stove. Hope you can help.

Maytag Gemini Dual Oven. I replaced the sensor probe in the upper oven after getting F-1 Error messages. Now neither upper nor lower oven will come up to the temperature set on the keypad. Or if they do come up to temperature set, they don't hold that temp and will not go to a higher temp. Do I need to replace the entire keypad assembly, or is there something else to look at? Thank you.
