On the last spinning cycle, the machine made a loud snap like noise and then began to smell like burning rubber. The machine continued to work but the smell got more intense. What would cause this?

When put into a spin cycle, my washer makes a loud and fast clicking noise, the tub does not spin, and the agitator turns weakly. I recently replaced the motor coupling with the newer metal-reinforced model after finding that the old one had broken, and when I checked the coupling out this time, it was fine. I am hoping this is a bad clutch, but is there any way to tell for sure, and that it's not the transmission that's the problem?

Hi, I have a Whirlpool Clean Touch, model #LSC9355EQ1. I just replaced the clutch assembly, now nothing spins or even turns by hand. And it's also leaking from the bottom. Thanks

My washer does ok with just a few items in it. When I put a full load (not an overload), it get off balance. I've tried to adjust the load, but that does not seem to help. The washer is level. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Washer works fine though all parts of the wash cycle until the spin at the end. Quite often you'll hear the motor running but the basket isn't spinning. I'll open the lid and nothing is happening. If I rotate the basket clockwise for a bit and close the lid it will often times start spinning. Sometimes I may have to try this 3 or 4 times before it will begin spinning however. Could this be the clutch assembly? Would this be caused by a messed up direct drive coupling? Would it still agitate and spin on the spin cycle (like it should or with help) if the direct drive coupling was messed up?
