Heavier loads like towels and jeans do not get completely dry in the spin cycle. I can ring water out of them. I have replaced the pump and checked the drain lines are clear.
Answer Michael, First check to see there isn't any small or light weight article stuck between the tubs. If all checks OK, you'll need to check and replace the clutch assembly 285785. Under stressful operation ( larger, heavier loads) the clutch plate can and will "slip" and not produce the proper RPM to extract the water from the heavier loads.
I have a whirlpool washer it stopped in the middle of a wash it made like a buzzing noise then a thump noise a stinky smoke came through the inside of the washer tub then.
Answer Hello Debbie. Remove the cabinet from the washer and see if you can locate any burnt parts. Check the water valve, motor, and all wiring on the unit. It sounds like either the valve failed or the unit locked up.
hello i replased the clutch in my washer and the washer wont spin u nless i start it by hand please help me i dont know what to do next the tranny runs and the clutch is turring but the tub wont turn with out me helping it to start spinning
Answer Steve, Did you replace the Clutch Assembly [AP3094537} or just the band kit ? You'll also want to lower the drive tube assembly 285792 and check and make sure the rollers on the brake shoes 285438 are clean and free moving, and not "dragging" on the brake drum. Thanks
On video he talks about removing the agitator by unscrewing a 7/16 bolt. There is no agitator bolt on this model.
Answer Hello George. You will insert and 1/2" extension into the cam and unscrew it like a bolt. You will see the square in the cam to insert the extension.
What would cause the washer to sqeek or squeal when in the spin cycle?
Answer Hello Cyndi,
This sounds like you have debris in the drain pump. There could be an article of clothing between the tubs, but most of the time when the complaint is a squealing sound during spin, it's more likely that something is contacting the pump impeller as it spins.
