Heavier loads like towels and jeans do not get completely dry in the spin cycle. I can ring water out of them. I have replaced the pump and checked the drain lines are clear.

My washer will spin most time. But sometimes I open lid to put clothes in dryer and it did not run through spin cycle so I turn the knob back to spin. Before I turn it on I turn the porcelain tub then turn on & it works. So recently I had to replace my cogs for agitator & decided like a idiot to go further & take transmission assembly out to find problem with spin. Got it out looked at it said that's beyond cog replacement. So I put it back together thinking I'll just deal with spin issue now I have a ticking noise in clutch I think. help

My Kenmore 700 washer with direct drive, does not spin.It is about six years old. It washes and drains, but does not spin; it tries to spin but does not. It sometimes smell like burning rubber when it tries to spin. I can hear the motor humming, but the basket will not spin. I replaced the lid switch, because it was damaged. I removed the motor coupling checked it and it looked fine. I also checked the clutch assembly and I was not able to move the lining with my finger; when I removed it, the lining looked good. When I reassembled the washer, it worked fine for one cycle and then started smelling and not spinning again. What could be stopping my washer from spinning and causing the burning smell? Some websites say it could be the transmission or the motor or both. If it is, how do I test them before buying the parts?

Hi my washing machine began making a terrible racket during the spin cycle and the drum quit spinning. If I restart it in wash mode, the center agitator moves, but nothing else. Does this sound like a clutch problem?

On video he talks about removing the agitator by unscrewing a 7/16 bolt. There is no agitator bolt on this model.
